DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Beginner – Intermediate
Bead and assemble a stunning Queen Bee statement necklace with Barbara Ellis in this two-day class. Barbara specializes in bead embroidery, peyote stitch and off-loom weaving techniques. Click here to learn more about Barbara and see her gorgeous work.
Snow Drifted Pathways

DIFFICULTY LEVEL: INTERMEDIATE
DESIGN SIZE: 10” x 8”
Inspired by the snowdrifts in Michigan, Snow Drifted Pathways takes the student into a winter wonderland. The focal point is a snowy path cut from handmade paper, attached to the canvas using Butterfly Chain Stitch.
Each student’s storm will reflect some of their own perspective since they will be creating their own exploding snowballs, snow logs and a cyclone from wet handmade paper.
Additional snow paths and textures are created using Rhodes Stitches, fake Bullions, Buttonhole Rings, Herringbone, Cross Stitches, Ribbed Spider, Couching, Palace Pattern and Fan Vaulting.
Soft Shading Workshop

DIFFICULTY LEVEL: INTERMEDIATE
Learn the fundamentals of soft shading in this two-day class taught by Canby Robertson, a Life Member of Embroiderers’ Guild of America (EGA) who has been teaching embroidery, painting, and calligraphy for over 25 years! She has a degree in fine art/art history and is an EGA Master Craftsman in crewel embroidery.
