Canby Robertson is a renowned textile artist, master designer, and life member of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America. She is widely recognized as one of the most inventive and intense Master Craftsmen in crewel embroidery, and has been teaching embroidery, painting, and calligraphy for over 40 years. She has a degree in fine art/art history, and is recognized for her technical precision, creative stitch application and expertise in intricate soft shading.
