Teaching Our Youth Stitching
The TOYS Program
Help us pass the needle arts to the next generation! The TOYS program is dedicated to introducing young people to the joy, focus, and creative satisfaction that comes from hand embroidery.
Our Mission
We believe embroidery offers incredible benefits for young minds—developing fine motor skills, encouraging patience and mindfulness, boosting creativity, and providing a healthy way to manage stress and overstimulation. In our fast-paced digital world, the meditative rhythm of stitching gives kids and teens a chance to slow down, focus, and create something beautiful with their own hands.
What We’re Building
We’re creating a comprehensive library of free educational resources that make it easy for anyone to teach embroidery to young people. Our materials will be organized by:
- Age Groups – From elementary through high school, with appropriate techniques and projects for each developmental stage
- Skill Levels – Beginner-friendly projects that build confidence, plus progressive challenges for advancing stitchers
- Teaching Contexts – Resources designed for parents, grandparents, teachers, youth leaders, and homeschool educators
Coming Soon
